I went missing 5 days after I was born. They searched for me but -eventually gave up and lost hope. The only people who knew where I was were the king and the queen, who were my parents, and Time. It was the only way to keep me safe or so my parents thought but really the mistake they made was trusting Time. After 16 years of being missing I was forgotten to everyone, including my parents. Time was the only one who new that by the time I turned 17, I would be the most powerful person who has ever lived on this earth. Before I was born Time was the most powerful and only he knew it,and he was gonna make sure he stayed the most powerful. But is what he didn't know was I already knew his plan.

The First
I was the first. I arrived in the Glade, and there was nothing and... no one. I remembered nothing about who I was, who my parents were, what happened. A few days I remembered my name, and that's it. That's all that ever came back. There were four walls surrounding me with only one exit. I wanted to go through, so I did, in hopes of finding my way out. What I found lurking on the other side was not an exit but something much worse. I found my way back, and I spent the next month fending for myself. Food, water, a temporary shelter. After a month, someone else arrived, and this person arrived with supplies. Every month a new person was sent up. Every arrival was the same as mine. They couldn't remember anything. I never believed it would end like this. I was just watching Netflix when the power went out, then before I knew it everyone was screaming, then the school began to shake and fell to the ground. Only three kids in my entire school were spared, four if you count me. I found a group of people heading to the east coast for a boat trip to a supposed safe haven in India. They died of disease days later. I found their bodies by the river. But I guess this is my life now, surviving with a scared boy, a pair of twins and trying to make it to the next day. COVID...the pandemic entered our lives, the deadliest in a hundred years and caused a catastrophic change in our lives. It caused serious disruption of the economies all over the world and changed the way that we had lived earlier, drawing us out of our comfort zones. But there is another side of the story too, small as it may appear. It made us introspect and reach out for some of the things in life that we always longed for, but never had the time nor the sufficient will to indulge in, often hiding behind the veil of pretense that we cover around ourselves. One of the most cherished things that emerged out of this dismal scenario is that many of us found the time and the appetite for the company of our most loved ones, chiefly our parents. I actually did this story about over a month ago, I had just accidentally deleted it, so......yeah. Don't judge please! my name is Alexis... Alexis Ryan. people just call me Alex. I was kidnapped at the age of 5. when I turn 18 they are suppose to do something to me... but I don't know what. they wont tell me until then. I just hope its not killing me. I live in the basement of the house I am in.
