This a story of a simple modern girl who fell for a boy who wouldn't love her back, no matter how hard she tried he wouldn't.. he couldn't.

 "But why did you stop?"she asked sounding defeated. 

"Stop what?" I asked trying my best to seem unbothered.

"Stopped caring?" She said looking up through her lashes and fixing her glasses, her eyes glazed over.

" I never did" I said turning my back to her to hide the pain and the tears forming in my eyes.

I felt like dirt but I couldn't allow her to love me because that was dangerous and she could get hurt, so I had to break her heart.
"Yes you did!, I cared!!" She said her voice cracking.

"Well who told you that?".
I asked as heartless as I could, I looked over to where she was and I saw her glasses fogged  up and I died a little in side, I tried to cover up my feelings real quick, but it was too late my insides started to burn......
