On friday, june 10th 2016, 22 year old christina grimmie was shot after preforming at the plaza live. she was signing autographs at a meet and greet when 27 year old kevin james loibl walked up to her, armed with 2 guns, and shot her. christinas brother tackled kevin and the gun fired, shooting kevin and later killing him. christina was rushed to the hospital where she later died from her injuries. nobody knows why kevin shot her or even what reasons he had since christina had apparently never even met him, but she will be greatly missed. the first time i heard of christina was when she did a cover of the song just a dream, with sam tsui. she was a big inspiration to me and i wanted and hoped to be as great a singer and person as her one day. i followed every episode and watched her on the voice as she went through the songs and smashed her competitors and won the show. she had an amazing talent and i can speak for everyone when i say, we loved her.
christina, we will all miss you, i sincerely hope you are at peace and have crossed over. i hope the man who did this to you is sent to hell. you never deserved this.
