Phil's spent every summer of his highschool career picking up guys to have his way with, just to drop them before the real school year starts. When Dan first met Phil at 12, their lives changed for the good. Dan was a depressed, bullied boy who never did well in school, whereas Phil was a happy yet lonely boy with great grades. As they age, the two friends become closer than ever, but they aren't prepared for what is to come...

Phil doesn't talks. Well, not anymore. The last time he said something, was when he didn't hate himself. And that was a long time ago. But now, everything is different. He must struggle with depression, whilst new boy Dan Howell desperately attempts to win him over. [Warning: this could be triggering at some points]

Phil goes to a new school after bullying becomes too much at his other. But the negativity that has placed itself in his life suddenly starts slowly drifting away when he immediately meets a new friend, Dan Howell, almost immediately. Their friendship quickly escalates, and leaves Phil thinking that maybe his life isn't so cursed after all.
