I looked up at the boy next to me, the one that could make all of the pain go away. He stared straight ahead, a glint of something in his eyes, but I couldn't tell what exactly it was. "Lex?" "Yea Luke?" "What if I told you that I'm hurting just as much as you are?" I looked at this perfect boy, and a pain rose up in my chest. I didn't know why he was hurting, but I was determined to do everything I could to make it go away. And in that moment I realized that nobody ever considered that sometimes boys needed to be saved too.
