Lexa is a player. She goes home with a new woman every Friday and Saturday night. Her past has kept her from getting close to anyone; a past that no one knows about, not even her best friend Dylan, a gay man in a committed relationship. Clarke is new in town, trying to make it as a director. She meets Lexa at a bar that she frequents. The blonde is immediately drawn to the woman with the voice of an angel and a guarded heart. When they meet, their chemistry is obvious. Lexa won't let herself feel the things Clarke is bringing up in her. But Clarke sees the light in Lexa and won't give up. Will Lexa's job, her past or her coldness deter Clarke?

Clarke and Lexa are reunited in a very tense situation after years of separation, Lexa having left wordlessly leaving Clarke to only wonder where her best friend had disappeared to. With Clarke now being hired to work one Lexa Woods' case, tensions are high. Rumours begin to spread as Lexa's fans take notice of the two, and Lexa's managers quite enjoy the idea of Clarke and Lexa dating for publicity. Their friendship is at stake when Lexa is forced to ask Clarke to fake date her, and the two will discover far more than platonic feelings for one another. Clexa modern au!
