He was surprised, but more so confused and conflicted. She looked like she needed help. With that, he quietly reassured the terrified female and led her back to his house. Aurora was surprised that she even agreed to follow, considering her trauma and newfound trust issues. Even so though, she followed and he ended up changing her life for the better. She had a feeling that he wasn't a bad person. She just knew he was genuine with his intentions. She would later feel blessed for following that man that night.

Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
