Gasping, he opened two azure eyes and saw that his hand outstretched as if trying to catch something. He blinked and sighed as he got up.
What was that dream? he thought. 
He stood up and leaned to a wall eyes closed, trying to stop his pounding heart. He tried to recall his dream, but nothing.

I sat in the library. There was not a single person in sight. There was just complete, suffocating silence. Then the silence shattered when I heard loud footsteps. Each step got louder and louder. I looked up and saw . . . Max. He stood right before of me. His hair held in a slick quiff and his beautiful lips curved in a grin. My heart started to beat rapidly. I watched him hopelessly as he bent down, towards me, near me. His face inches away from me. I could feel his cold breath on my face. "You still love me, don't you?" He asked in his deep voice. The answer was yes, I did love him. . . but I can't tell him that. I don't want him to repeat all the things he did to me. I don't want him to make me cry for hours. But will he love me for real this time if I forgive him? If I don't forgive him, will I ever forget him? Will I ever be able to give love a second chance? "Who are you?" I asked, still left in the shock and scared state that came over me when gunshots were heard. So everything was going quite well in her life, except for the fact that her boss hated her, but apart from that she was okay and everything was going well...but all of that came to an end on one specific night when she found herself in the arms of danger after encountering a mysterious yet dangerous man, who had also happen to have a lot of enemies. And since she had encountered him, she had been targeted as a worker for him and so she was promised that her life will be protected by the mysterious man as a returned favor for her saving his life. She has now entered a world where chaos, lies, hurt, death and truth reside and will find herself in a place where though decisions are thrown at her. So, What will she do when she's being chased down by enemies that seek to take her innocent life? Can she trust a man, she never knew, to protect her? Can she....survive? There's only one way to find out...

The night was cold and the wind was blowing. Their wasn't a being in sight, but that's understanding considering is around midnight. The leaves crunch under my feet and white fog surrounds my face after every exhale of air. I hear a snap from behind me and quickly turn to see what it was...nothing. Turning back, I began to quicken my pace. I'm suddenly shoved to a wall with my neck crammed to the side. "You smell delicious." A voice said. I turn my head only to see a man with jet black hair and icy blue eyes. "P-please. Let me go." I cried. He smirked, "Where's the fun in that?" With that his eyes turned red with veins under them, fangs peeked from his mouth. He latched his fangs in my neck, draining me of my blood. I can slowly feel myself become weaker, slowly start to fade away. I now lay on the ground, my own blood pooled around me, waiting for my life to end...that is until I feel warm liquid run down my throat and hear the sound of my own neck snap. __________________________________________ A/N: I literally hate this story but I don't want to delete it because it's the first one I ever wrote. Fair warning....it sucks.

“Run Maeve! Run!!” I could hear Phoenix’s voice yell to me in pain as I dashed through the woods while branches smacked me. I had to run faster, I had to escape, whatever that creature was it wanted me. I felt my feet slow down and my breathing sped up and I felt a burning sensation in my chest. I couldn’t stop; I couldn’t slow down….RUN! I forced my feet to move faster as I heard wings flapping just a few feet behind me. I knew I was going to cave in. My feat slowed down into a small jog until I finally stopped and started to catch my breath knowing I had done the wrong thing but I couldn’t fight it, whatever it was I felt it controlling me like nothing before. ‘Good girl’ I heard it say and almost on cue I felt big strong arms curl around my waist and I felt myself being lifted up into the air with extreme force and I let out a small scream. “Maeve, no!” I heard Phoenix’s voice yell to me from a great distance as I was being lifted into the air by something. As much as I hated it I had to look, I had to see what’s going on. I looked over not at the man’s face but what really caught my eye was the giant wings on either side of me which was causing me to fly. “Phoenix!” I yelled automatically. I heard the man with his arms around me chuckle as we descended farther into the sky, away from my only hope, my mate, Phoenix.

In the darkness of her dreams, she saw herself standing at a window looking down below, only to see a misting, swirling fog. She could not see the ground and did not know how far down it was. She had no idea where she was. Soon after, she was led down a dark hallway to a room with a large altar. She felt herself being lifted up and then placed back down on the hard stone surface. Now all she could see was a large man, holding a knife in his hands, with the sharp edge pointed directly over her heart...Then a different man with deep blue eyes was looking down at her, and his hand was caressing her face, telling her everything was going to be ok. A loud bang on the door made her startle and rise up. There, coming through the door, were several large angry men, dressed strangely in what looked like animal furs and carrying ominous looking weapons. Some had clubs with sharp objects attached to the ends and others had sharp axes and swords. She could hear her own screams escaping from her lips, and she opened her eyes to notice she was lying in her bed in the safety of her room in the convent where she lived. She was still trembling and had to tell herself it was just a dream. She was safe and no one would ever be able to hurt her.

"This voice again, who are you, where are you?" I shouted out and waited for a response but to my disappointment, I heard no reply. "Beautiful?" I said to myself as I looked around, "Is this not more than beautiful? The whole building is made of glass, pure crystal-clear glass." I looked around and studied the cube like structure made entirely from glass and if my eyes were not deceiving me, was also rotating slowly. "But how is that possible, I'm standing on a fixed spot and not feeling any movement, also the darkness that totally surrounds the glass building isn't allowing me to determine if the building is really rotating or not. What kind of confusion is this?" All that surrounded the glass building was darkness, black thick darkness. What is this cube even built on? No foundation? It's just hanging in space? What is this darkness? How is this crazy heat not even destroying the glass cube? This is definitely not a building. Is this still Earth? Several questions rushed up my mind as I surveyed the area I turned away from all these questions and the surroundings of the cube as no one was going to answer my questions. The glass beneath my feet felt cold as I tried walking and that just added to the weirdness of the place.
