Code Lyoko: The New Girl (BK 1)
69 parts Ongoing A year after the Code Lyoko gang has discovered the Supercomputer and the world of Lyoko, they're still battling it out against X.A.N.A., the evil computer virus. Tired of always failing to connect the pieces to everything and above all, surviving the latest X.A.N.A. attacks, the group is surprised to find an unlikely ally hiding away in a seemingly invisible Lyokian tower.
This surprise goes by the name of Saphire Stonez and she claims to be Aelita's long-lost sister. She and Aelita were separated as kids when she was forced to live with their father, Franz Hopper, in a remote cabin in the forest, not too far from Kadic Academy and the factory that houses the Supercomputer. Or at least that's how her story goes. While the group is initially skeptical of her story, Saphire is able to prove she shares a connection with Aelita and Franz Hopper. She is also able to establish her intensive knowledge of Lyoko and the many other sectors that are a part of the virtual world.
Her explanation for how she knows all this? She's been living on Lyoko for eight years. While keeping her Human status a secret, she's managed to move in with a Lyokian family who accepted her as their own and allowed her to receive an education, make friends, and create a name for herself. Once Saphire found out she had a living Human sister back on Earth, she dropped everything to go seek her out and reunite with her.
Not having much choice but to wield this new piece of information, the group makes the decision to keep Saphire around, hoping she'll be the key to stopping X.A.N.A. once and for all. They allow her to join Kadic Academy and restart her life while joining in on epic adventures and creating loving memories together. What they don't know or realize, however, is that there is more to Saphire's story than she's let on, and while she is doing everything in her power to keep her new friends and family safe, her biggest secret might just be their undoing.
