Gail and her father live in a rural city on a quaint farm. Despite all of her father's efforts, Gail never feels like she could ever fit in. She's dying. Plain and simple. Though the doctor's encouraging word seem positive, she can see it in her father's eyes how desperate the situation is. Then Jason moves into town. Among all his many siblings, his parents never seem to give him much notice. From a father who's never around, Jason feels constant pressure to own up to the family name like his older brother. When Gail meets Jason, she's surprised that Jason thinks of her as average. Regardless of the kids at school and their opinion of Gail, Jason likes her. And Gail wants to keep it that way. Together, they develop a bond that they both know will never be broken, weather it's friendship, love, or something more than either of them could imagine.
