This is my sci-fi take on the concept of Anthropomorphism, i.e. the attribution of human characteristics to things, living and not, that we humans do so often, especially in the realm of science fiction. I first had the idea for this story many years ago, maybe more than a decade ago, and I wrote it four or five years ago. I've been meaning to do something with it ever since, but I was not quite sure what. I hope you enjoy. Comments and criticisms are welcome.

A group of teenagers find each by chance and discover that they aren't as different as it seems. I wrote this in 6th grade and I only recently just found it. The Devourer (A Highschool DxD Fanfic)
With the impossible size of the universe, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that there is life beyond just humans out there. Countless things have lived and died yet one stands above the rest due to the sheer amount of time it has lived. Almost since the beginning of the universe itself has it existed; a biological monster that would destroy and consume anything in its path. Planets, asteroids, entire stars even; whatever got in this things way wouldn't stay in the way for very long. It was a repetitive existence until one day the abomination met its match in the form of an absolutely enormous star. It ended with a draw that sent the abomination rocketing off in a random direction away from the place it had been consuming for so long. It traveled for millions upon millions of years before finally coming to a stop just outside of some odd new planet brimming with life. Along the way through space, it gained awareness of its surroundings so it was now able to choose what to do with this odd planet. Consume or Explore . . . I am republishing this for a friend who wanted to read a sample of my work. The plot is all over the place, but I know I'll revisit it in future. I initially wrote this in 2017 before I knew a lot of things I know now. There's a lot in here that is culturally insensitive. I have done my best to edit out what I could find at first glance, but if you see something glaringly offensive please make a comment about it so that I can correct my errors. The most egregious example that comes to mind is using the G-word for the Romani and relying on unflattering stereotypes. I plan to correct a lot of this in proceeding drafts. FROST: The Beginning Of The End (OG)
Enjoy the first draft of the story so far... This story tackles perspective on life from two different people who might not be very different after all. I don't really want to spoil much of it and I don't really have a cover for it , so if you fuck with the title for some reason and want to kill some time read this. keep in mind I am not perfect there will be A LOT OF DICTATION and GRAMMAR MISTAKES! I hope I was able to make you feel something even if that feeling was cringe. Forgot to say some stuff... This story takes place in a fictional future. And I was heavily inspired by bladerunner , Detroit become human, The wolf among us and probably a bunch of other stuff. Btw if you took the time to read this, DESTROY ME even if you liked it. I'm totally open to criticism and any kind of feedback would be appreciated. I can only improve, right? You might see a lot of "Sargent" instead of "sergeant" so... What needs to be done for a better world
Scarred by a cataclysmic meteor strike, humanity struggles to rebuild amidst the wreckage. As civilization begins to take its first tentative steps forward, a bizarre twist of fate unfolds. Animals, exposed to a mysterious chemical agent released by the impact, undergo a radical transformation, gaining humanoid traits while retaining their primal instincts. Communication proves to be a barrier in the early years of their appearance. Humans, fearing for their species, ignited a war for dominance. Yet, as the conflict rages on, it becomes increasingly apparent that the scales are tipping in favor of the evolved animals. Humanity finds itself on the brink of extinction and, recognizing the futility of the conflict, a fragile peace is brokered between the two factions. Yet, despite the truce, tensions remain high. Interactions between what came to be called furries and humans are limited. Both sides bear the scars of the conflict, and conflicts still flare up sporadically, reminding all involved of the fragile balance that hangs over their world. Amidst this uneasy peace, our protagonist must navigate a world forever changed by the clash of two civilizations, grappling with questions of identity, survival, and the ever-shifting dynamics between man and beast.

As the narrator, I'm tempted to simply write "Middle Finger" because that is essentially what you'll feel like I'm giving you in telling this story. However, for the sake of not being a complete dick, I'll write a little more than just a description of a disrespectful gesture. This story can aptly be described as crude and deranged. As you may have surmised, a crazy person will be telling this story, and the characters involved are indeed also all crazy in their own special ways. So, given this exercise in mental illness, the topics touched on (in no particular order) in this tale are destruction, death, superpowered wackos, torture, pain, loneliness, chaos, the will to survive, never giving up, giving up and not giving a shit, the desire to protect, failing to protect and causing more trouble than was already present, disappointing and/or abusive parental figures, bullies, unjust punishments, just punishments, racism, violent and usually superpowered fights, sci-fi gadgets, bitterness, sarcasm, twisted and demented comedy, control or lack thereof, weird and awkward high school drama, lies and brainwashing, alien aggression, moral ambiguity, unhinged villains, fantastical weapons, a piece of shit main character, conditional friendship, a fuck load of musical references, anger, fear, depression, extra-dimensional creatures, godly powers, various esoteric connections, pop culture references, and of course, in general, superpowers.Complete
