The past 15 years haven't been easy on Aurelia Stephens, a foster kid, who is in and out of dangerous homes and juvenile detention centers. She has just been moved to her 8th home in Bonita Springs, Florida in the middle of her sophomore year. As a foster kid, she's used to moving around and being bullied but she's not used to the attention she's getting from a kind and mischievous boy, Emery Montgomery.
