"Amber, where are you?" the voice of my dad echoed throughout my head. Last night was one of the worst nights we've ever had. My head still hurts from that bottle and my back is now bruised from the floor. Meet Amber an 18 year-old who has had a life of pain. Her mother is gone and her father is abusive, she goes through many struggles before she can get away from the hellhole she was living in. In the book her past will unfold slowly as she opens up to one of the only people who makes her feel safe. However Amber feels that everything comes with a price, so.......... will she push those who care for her away or will she realize what's good for her.

There's always been something missing in Stevie's life. She just doesn't know what or who it is. When Stevie's father starts to act suspicious, she takes it upon herself to find out what he's hiding. But when she finally sees what secret he's keeping from her, will she be able to handle it? Will all of the pain be worth it when she finally discovers this missing thing? Can she stand to hold her strength through thick and thin, like the way her father raised her? And who's to say that an adorable teenage boy can't get in the way in all of this? Life is tough when you're sixteen. It's even tougher when you're Stevie Roberts. *please be forewarned that this was the first story i ever posted on this site. needless to say my writing style has changed and improved tremendously since then (at least i think it has). proceed with caution.*
