The Rhythm Within Us

16 year old Chardae Carter, a Singer-songwriter from Michigan has to live with her stranger of a mother in California while her dad is fighting in Iraq. Though leaving her bestfriend, Chardae soon comes to find out that life in Cali may not be as bad as she thought it would be. But when her mother becomes gravely ill, anonymous threats began to "mysteriously" turn up, and her new "friends" introduce her to a world of drugs, gangs, and secrets she shouldn't even know about, Chardae is in deeper than she could ever imagine. As lust and depression begin to overwhelm her will Chardae fall short of her muse? or will she find the Rhythm that exist inside all of us?
