Anton Shudder. Niemand weis wirklich etwas über ihn... Er ist unberechenbar. Das, was er in sich birgt ist eben anders. Als Skulduggery alle Leute zusammentrommelt, um ein ganzes Nest an Vampiren zu killen, stellt es ihn vor eine Herausforderung: er muss einen Partner mitbringen. Er hat Jemanden. Aber soll er einen Teil seiner absoluten Privatsphäre gefährden? Und was geschah in seiner Jugend, was ihn so stark veränderte? Warum wollen die Vampire in einen Atommeiler? Und was hat Skulduggery zu verstecken?!
Ich hab diese Geschichte begonnen, nachdem ich das 6. Buch gelesen habe. Also die Story an sich ist alleinstehend, aber lest am besten erst die Bücher, sonst spoilert ihr euch noch!

Some despise him for taking this day from us and forcefully exchanging our merry and joyful laughs to screams of fear. There's one main rule that we have: don't look at him. Because if you do, no one knows what'll happen to you. Maybe that's the worse part, not knowing your fate. Or better yet, the female finds out her lover is a vampire and begs and pleads to be turned to live eternally young and thus tries everything in her power to become a vampire but the male vampire refuses to turn her so that she does not live a cursed life. After a mysterious man begins to befriend her while working at her job, a night of sex turns into the start of everything she thought she could handle into a whirlwind of challenges. It's easy to kill a person in the movies or in a book because it's fiction. But actually suck the life out of a living being and it be her new reality, that's a whole different ballgame. Nadine Burns must now learn to face being a Newborn vampire in a world where there is no kindhearted feelings and sunshine and rainbows.
