Naruto Fanfic: Tsuki no Yomi (Moon Demon)(moved to AO3)

This story revolves around Itachi Uchiha during his cover in Akatsuki. Everything started when Itachi and Kisame was assigned to a mission in a small village, which brought him to an unexpected encounter with a woman of enigma. It's a journey of self discovery and budding of feelings.

After careful consideration, I managed to align the story with the canon, not to ruin or change any fact/world building on Naruto world, and just expanding on existing one based on Japanese Myth and Naruto's history and world building. I don't watch Boruto, so consider this not updated to what happen there, except for Kaguya.

This is not a fluffy romance, and it's a very slow burn as both party need time to process their own issues and responsibilities. I do intend to create some romance later with some mature content but still with significance to the story/plot progression. Yes, it'll be a bit dark sometimes, but i'll try to make it sweet too!

Characters:
Uchiha Itachi:Part 1 Age 17, Part 2 Age 21
Rogue Ninja from Konoha, member of Akatsuki. Man who massacred his whole clan and enlisted in Bingo Book as S-Rate criminal. The fact that his action is based on orders from Konoha higher up is unknown to anyone beside the 3rd hokage and his three advisor.

Pain: Leader of Akatsuki, the person who manages Akatsuki's activity and action.

Kisame: Part 1 Age 29, Part 2 Age 32
Itachi's partner in Akatsuki. One of the 7 shinobi swordsman. A person who's wondering about himself, who killed his friend's in a mission as a part of an order. Respects Itachi.

Mitsuki: Age ?, Appears to look 12-14 in disguise because of her short stature, and 16 when properly dressed. However actual calculated age indicate she's older than that
A girl whose identity shrouded in mystery. Doesn't have chakra, but instead gifted with manipulating nature energy without it.
