After Fern's parents die and she is forced in a foster home she gets into some pretty bad trouble. When she starts her new school at west Jackson high she learns that she is a easy target, from the very start she gets picked on people pull her hair and push her around and step on her in the halls. Everyone hates her but she learns one boy don't his name is Alex he helps her out and shows her around the school. She thinks he's sweet, nice and kind but what she don't know is that her love for him is killing him he is a vampire and when she learns this she runs into some major trouble his father who's name is Grover has it out for Fern he has been watching her and is planning a evil plan to get his son's first and true love to be his slave. What will happen to young Fern, who will rescue her?
