Hayley Grane just moved to New Jersey and is forced to befriend two bratty, obnoxious girls who care more about their looks than getting into college. 

While living in New Jersey, Hayley learns about an abandoned, supposedly haunted house in her neighborhood. Her two "friends" decide to enter the house, and they don't come back out. 
Believing it's her fault for not preventing it, Hayley ventures into the house herself and what she sees in there will scar her for the rest of her life. That is, if she makes it out alive...

The lives of Hayley and Josh, best friends and next door neighbours, changed forever when Hayley's mother abandoned her just a year before the story takes place. They face fears, insecurites, love and hate in a quiet journey that may lead to the ultimate destruction of their lives or the union they've all been searching for. Note: This was originally just a short story, although more was added later, thus meaning it is somewhat disjointed. I will probably rewrite it at a later date if I feel like it, and make it into a full, single, more fluent story without so many gaps.
