Dan Howell is pulled into a dark alleyway, and a man gives him a small ruby in a black velvet bag. The man gruffly whispers to Dan that when he touches the stone he will be granted the power to read someones mind, but the person is randomly chosen. Dan is about to ask a question when the man abruptly turns out of the alleyway and into the night. Dan is left breathless and he is in total shock. He goes home and decides to touch the stone, thinking that the man was joking, but the next day someone else's thoughts flood into his mind.
