"Forever?" I asked him, watching as his features all shined through with happiness. I tilted my head to the side as he let out a small laugh. "Forever," he agreed, evoking a smile from me. When Austin said it, I believed it, I believed it with every single fiber of my being. I didn't believe it with anyone from the past, not even Stephan, my ex fiance. I don't know what it was about Austin that made it believable, and I hopped that nothing would be able to take him away from me. 'Everyone,' he ordered in a calm yet jussive voice that betrayed the extremity of his anger. 'Out!' he finished. They all festinated out, skedaddling away as quickly as they could before anyone of them suffered from transfer of aggression. And when the door closed with a small click sound behind them, he drew her to him unexpectedly. 'You are mine,' he simply told her with surety before he lipped her. --- 🌫 She knew nothing, except that she wanted out, away from him-the beast. She knew not what she wanted, especially with a damaged head and fragmented memories. The series finale just hit its fifth anniversary, and as I was thinking about it I remembered this fanfic existed. ...this is certainly a piece of work, lmao. Between the writing style being very reflective of my age to the self-deprecating comments I wrote about my own writing to the stolen cover art (my sincerest apologies for that, I am going to change it but the original is by @codynaomiswireart on tumblr) it is beyond me what was going through my head when I wrote it. It is for that reason I found myself shocked to see it with thousands of reads and comments, which thank you for by the way, I did not realize there was this much demand for moon Varian lol. For now I intend on leaving it up solely because it is hilarious to me and a good reflection on what was at the time a very important show to me. In the present, a lot of my love for the series has been somewhat diminished, due to many factors. But I won't deny what it did for me then, as I have moved onto, what I am hopeful to view as far greater artistic pursuits lol.
