I Give Up is a short imaginative monologue from the perspective of Newt from James Dashner's "The Maze Runner" book series. It was created for a presenting assignment I had to do. I thought it was pretty good so i'll share it with you all. Bare in mind that this is my own interpretation of there characters thoughts and feeling and I in no way take ownership of the character "Newt". I have not read the last book so please, if something is wrong or out of place, thats why. I tried my best i'm sorry. This monologue is set somewhere in between "The Scorch Trials" and "The Death Cure" I hope you enjoy.

Hi I wrote this fanfic first for myself but I thought why not share it on wattpad for those who want to read it as well? Basically it's a Newt fanfiction set in the Maze Runner Movie Franchise. In this fanfic, Newt and Cara are already in a relationship but their situation threatens to pull them apart. Will their love stand the trials brought about by a dying world? Short Summary Newt, Cara, and the rest of the group are rescued from the maze. Cara is given her memories back right before her, Newt and the group escape the WICKED facility. Her loyalty to her friends wavers but she soon realizes that she no longer wants to work for WICKED despite Teresa trying to convince her otherwise. They try to escape the grasp of WICKED as they make their way through the Scorch in search of the Right Arm. Cara struggles with personal issues and traumas that have been brought back along with her memories. Newt tries to hold her hand every step of the way.
