Queen of Emeralds

Soon to be released by Limitless Publishing, here is a small snippet of my first novel, "Queen of Emeralds".
Charlotte Holloway is not your ordinary Victorian woman. Where most of the ladies in her social rank are content to marry young, speak only of gossip and fashion, and be a perfectly boring porcelain dolls, Charlotte longs for more. As she's being forced into an abusive engagement, she runs from a brutish Brit and into the arms of a sultry Scot. But, there is darkness ahead in the Highlands.
