This is a fanfiction for Danganronpa based on an AU that I fell in love with. Basically, what if the Mastermind behind Hope's Peak wasn't the real Mastermind at all?
**WARNING** This short story contains major spoilers for the show Danganronpa! If you haven't seen it, or even haven't finished the last episode itself, please be aware that this will spoil it for you. Like, the first word is a spoiler here. And it also has spoilers in the tags, so be careful. It's like a minefield in here. Just thought it would be nice of me to share, because I hate spoilers and tend to be stupid and run into them anyway.
Also, this AU is not mine. This is only my opinion of how it would go if this AU had really happened. I would credit the creator, but I can't find the original source of this AU. If any of you know, please share with me so I can credit them. I also had to change a tiny bit of the wording in some of the parts from the animation, where I got the beginning dialog from, because it was actually pretty dang hard to understand what was being said in a couple of parts, and who knows, maybe the entire sentence was different in the subbed verison.

That was until Kokichi Ouma, the Ultimate Supreme Leader, reveals himself as a traitor, having lied about all his intentions. He had never cared about the others, but was merely acting. *Lying*. He was an Ultimate Despair, second to that of Junko Enoshima. But is that really the truth of the matter? A/N Hey, so I came up with this idea a long time ago, and I just decided to write it because I don't have much else to do. It's just a 'what if' scenario if Kokichi had been a Remnant of Despair, really. There might be some shippy stuff, I don't really know. Travis Neresa the Ultimate Gaming Prodigy wakes up in this strange school called Hope's Peak High, A school for gifted students. After meeting his fifteen classmates, the headmaster Monokuma reveals to each of the students that they all are a part of a killing game, to which they are forced to pick off their classmates one by one until either two remain, or they correctly reveal the mastermind behind this killing game and execute them. Did you ever want to know what happened to the survivors after Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc ended? Well this story is told by Makoto Naegi and Kyoko Kirigiri as they go through what happened to them after they left despair high school.
