The only word that could be used to describe 14 year old Kiera was "depressed". After a series of terrible events, she had fallen into a state of depression, which she thought she would never be able to escape from. She soon discovers that there is some hope to life, when she meets Emmet, a boy in her science class who had just moved from Maine. They are assigned a school project together, and that's when Kiera notices Emmet's scars. Now Kiera and Emmet are both in a hopeless battle with themselves. Will they be able to save eachother from a seemingly inevitable suicide or is it to late?
