Helene has been in foster care almost all of her life, but everything is going to change now that she is finally being adopted.  She can start fresh in a new state and leave her past of abusive families behind.  She has no idea how much her life will change, however, until her adoptive mother warns her to lock herself in the bathroom of a gas station and stay there.  Ignoring the warning, Helene returns to the car where two armed gunmen are waiting for her and her adoptive parents are nowhere to be found.
