In 2013, my brother and I went for a drive. He always called shotgun, so when the headlights of another car came screaming towards us, statistics showed he could have easily survived the unfortunate crash that followed. But he didn't.

You can imagine the guilt that plagued me, as I had been the driver at the time. I'd accidentally killed the only other human being in this world that I could truly talk to. So now that he's gone . . . I have to go pull him from Death.

Hello, I'm Gerard. This is my long ass version of telling you that I like to fight shit.

When a mere 18 year old Mikey is taken into Death after a horrible accident, his brother Gerard goes in to bring him back to their old world . . . and hopefully back to life. With the help of friends, they'll slip past the opposing supernatural forces with the brother they never wanted to lose.

I admit it, I was stupid to think that me of all people would be an ordinary woman. Nope. I've lived through tremendous abuse from being in foster care after my parents were both murdered within 3 months of each other and then the sudden death of my Older brother Jake. Will I be able to find answers of who killed my parents? Was my brothers untimely death really an accident or a cover up? Frank's parents died over a year ago which has caused him to spiral into a big heat of depression. He's angry, tired, and doesn't care. Gerard is tired of seeing his friend like this, so he hires him an at-home therapist. She's happy, sweet, and very optimistic. It's basically an odd couple situation. ~no I am not romanticizing depression, I am trying very hard not to do that, Frank just happens to be depressed, she won't be "curing him" with kisses or whatever, that's unrealistic, she's there to help him through this :) With that being said, if any of you guys need someone to talk to, I'm here. Gerard was in town to visit his brother Mikey like any normal good brother would do, but things turn out to be a bit complicated when he 'accidentally' kills his brother's friend, and it gets even more complicated when that friend doesn't stay dead for long. Things seem complex now but it gets even worse when Gerard is haunted down by a bitter ex boyfriend and a powerful demon, how will he manage to survive all that? And could his not-so-dead victim be his end or salvation? Tbfh I suck at description but I do encourage reading this, it's kinda promising when you get into it... well, I sure hope so. If you haven't heard of My Chemical Romance, then that's PERFECTLY okay. Not too many people really care about a small band from Belleville New Jersey. Trust me NO ONE cares about them. But I do because they are only barely 2 years older than me and I go to the exact same high school they did. Now as everything's falling apart and I have to move to California and in with my Aunt Helena in the middle of my senior year, I just hope I've got enough MCR to help get me through. My friends all wish me luck and say, "Oh Allison. Allie. It'll be just fine. You'll be fine. California's fun, lots of new experiences, and ALL that sun. The beach, the bands, the BOYS, and I think MCR lives out there now. In fact they do. So you COULD like maybe hook up with one of them. But of course if that WERE to ACTUALLY happen I'd have to stop being your friend. But California will be fun. I'll miss you sure. But it'll be fun. Good Luck!" I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy.
