The Box Has Twelve Sides is a collection of thirteen stories all connected as visions given to a homeless man in search of his future. She confides in Pan - an A-Tier Caretaker and Kit's best friend and roommate. She reveals the full story of how she came to be in possession of us and why she can't hand us over to a licensed Caretaker. Pan reveals the tragic truth of the first 10 years of our existence before Kit found us. The new knowledge Ignites a fire in both. So the two young Ethereals come up with another plan that involves the three grad school roommates, Pan, Sid, and Kit, taking us on a long road trip to the Andromeda galaxy for some good old fashioned revenge- justice. Disclaimer: This is fiction. It's my mere idea of an alternate history. "An ocean in chaos is a feeding frenzy for sharks." The world avoided humanity's extinction by collaborating to fix major issues of the 21st century. Then Russia launched nuclear missiles in 2102, beginning what the survivors eventually regarded as the Final War. This war inevitably roped in experimental and sentient robots constructed by the East and West near the end of the 21st century. However, their respective governments told them not to fight; instead, they should take themselves and other important personnel to flee to Antarctica to evade the fallout. Inevitably, both sides receive orders to return to their homelands and to assist in reconstruction. But everyone reacts to and navigates this broken world differently. This frenzy is far from over.
