Angel was an odd one. Always has been and always will be. That's what I think anyway. Oops. I'm Ruben Noire, small town student and gym enthusiast. Angel's my bubbly girlfriend who owns a bakery named after her and is deadly with a frying pan. But that's besides the point. She's still odd. She becomes even odder at specific points during the month. Or maybe that's just her period talking. Who knows?

Ruben is like a mountain. Tall and seemingly impossible to conquer because of her stone walls. So I don't quite understand why this untouchable woman would let me in. To warm home and heart. Heh. I can be cheesy, huh? My name's Angel Quartz. Yes, I know it's a stupid rock but I can't help what my parents thought when they named me. Anyway, Ruben is my kick-ass partner in crime as we try to brighten up these dull and boring streets in this nothing town. And I wouldn't change it for the world.

Nixon is the 3rd book in the Broken Series. (Ryan is the 1st, Brynn is the 2nd) Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
