Amber was the second child of three sisters. She'd heard every joke about the infamous "middle child syndrome" and always forced a laugh, because she was too shy to say it was infamous for a reason. Honestly, she was too shy to say most of what went on inside her mind. She'd justified her silence by convincing herself that she just had a better filter than most people. She didn't say things out of compassion for others. She had the luxury of a Brit-a, whereas others seemed fine settling for the tap.
