Gerard hates himself. There is no better way to put it. He struggles with depression, bullying, and to top it all off an alcoholic for a dad.
Frank has the perfect life. Him and his mom have a great relationship, especially since he doesn't have any siblings to spend time with.
When Frank moves into Belleville and enrolls to Belleville High he can't help but notice the boy in the back. When he encounters him being pushed around, he interferes and finds himself falling in love with the boy who can't love himself.
