Sequel to: Beyond the Sun.
Life was never an easy feint, it would be asking too much for life to be easy now. Establishing himself as a resident hero of Metropolis, plus reporter by day; how could life possibly get any more hectic? Like before Zod's failed invasion was bad enough, honestly, Clark didn't think he was asking for too much for life to calm down now.
Sadly, as ever, life had other ideas.
Gotham's resident bat's kicking up a fuss and hitting headlines in all manner of ways, it clearly wouldn't take long before he set his sights firmly in Clark's direction; not that he was wholly wishing to fight Batman, but if that's what it took for him to back off, then so be it.
If that wasn't enough, Bruce Wayne and his sudden injection into his and Annie's life proves to be more harmful than good, but then this is Bruce Wayne, what else could anyone expect? It is not exactly a shock when it's learned that himself and Batman are one and the same.
Competing companies, madmen creating monsters from Kryptonian's, a God from space, a child and a possible wedding. It was definitely safe to say that life was only just starting to get a bit hectic.

An alternate ending to the 2013 movie Man of Steel using characters from The Dark Knight, Batman vs Superman and the movie Fight Club I thought Man of Steel was great But watching Superman kill Zod and make his race extinct, seemed as excessive as the destruction of Metropolis The original alternate ending (the 1st draft of part 1) was the typical farm-boy meets Kryptonian girl and saves the day by proving to Zod that humans have redeeming qualities. It was only when I thought about what would happen to the narrator, Tyler Durden, after Zod made peace with Earth & Kal El, that I could see the potential for a real story. I should give advance notice to the readers who may be expecting a series of dramatic SuperHero versus SuperVillain fights, this is an anti-super, anti-hero story as it is told from the perspective of a regular-guy weaving his way through a Meta-Human conflict while keeping his eyes on the prize: (Faora Ul). Logically, the story focuses mainly on 'human' characteristics of the Superhero/Villain characters as well as developing DC-Comic's 'C-Listers' (Martha Kent/Lois Lane/Nathan Hardy/Perry White) into characters who are central to the storyline. Rated Mature for: Profanity Adult situations (no sex) Violence Smoking Ps: I use Italics to identify the narrator's inner monologue as well as distinguish dream sequences and other breaks from the narrative's reality, in addition to using italics for emphasis. Originally published here: November 2021, then periodically edited to clean up the typos, as well as sharpen the narrative... Which usually creates more typos... :( Thanks for reading Hope you like it! Cover is a still from Zack Snyder's Man of Steel

Humans don't understand how someone can be both dead and alive, and that fact scares them, it opens up the possibility of a threat even if there is no evidence of malevolent intent. So, the only solution in the minds of humanity is to dominate and subjugate the unknown variable until it no longer has even the potential to be a threat. They choose to pretend that the unknown variable is lesser, that humanity is superior on no other grounds than that it's humanity. Danny had been stuck with the G.I.W for years when the Young Justice team rescued him. Broken, beaten, and none the wiser of the greater majority of humans, the humans with kindness in their eyes and light in their souls. He's been trapped in the darkness of greed and fear and violence for far too long, and what's left behind is a fractured mind and a trained weapon. Buried underneath that, however, is a young child who is scared and confused, a child that hasn't seen the light of day in years. That child never expected to see the bright side to existence, to see the light shine in the souls of the righteous. That all changed with one group of heroes, and one family of Bats. Cover doesn't belong to me. Cross-published on two other sites *Undergoing heavy editing, nothing plot-wise is changing, I am only editing grammar, mechanics, vocabulary, sentence variation, and formatting and overall I am just making it a more pleasant and refined read :) I am also deleting the A/Ns at the beginning and end of each chapter

Kevin Beaumont hasn't always had it lucky. Knowing that his father is Bruce Wayne/Batman, the boy never knew his own father growing up, so he only had his mother Andrea Beaumont (formerly the grim reaper-themed killer vigilante known as the Phantasm) to raise him. Despite being raised by a single mother, Kevin lived a relatively normal life. And eventually, Kevin got to meet his biological father. But after Kevin's 21st birthday, tragedy strikes when the Joker tricks Superman into killing Lois and their unborn child, causing a chain reaction in which Metropolis is destroyed, and Superman murders the Joker out of revenge, now motivated to end world violence and crime, even if it means having to kill. This leaves the Justice League divided, either allying with Clark or allying with Bruce. Seeing that Superman was right in killing Joker, Andrea Beaumont has decided to go back to being the Phantasm and allies herself with the corrupted Man of Steel, putting a strain on her relationship with Kevin and his father. With his family more broken now than ever, Kevin must overcome his damaged relationship with his estranged mother and must become a hero like his father, determined to stop Superman's new regime and rescue heroes that are missing. It'll take great willpower to bring hope back in a world of injustice. Inspired by the NetherRealm video game developed by Ed Boon and the comic book tie in written by Tom Taylor. Kevin Beaumont created by Tony Garcia, inspired by characters developed by Alan Burnett, Paul Dini, and Bruce Timm Princess Charity, Lynn Black, and Olympia Affair created by Charity Spencer Batman created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster

-🦇- 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙁𝙄𝙍𝙎𝙏 𝘽𝙊𝙊𝙆 𝙄𝙉 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘽𝘼𝙏𝙌𝙐𝙄𝙉𝙉 𝘼𝙍𝙆𝙃𝘼𝙈 𝙎𝙀𝙍𝙄𝙀𝙎 -♦️- It's been six long excruciating months since the tragic events of the Killing Joke storyline occurred which unfortunately left Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl paralyzed from the waist down by a bullet to the spine from the Joker himself. Barbara is struggling to accept her new life now being labeled as a paralytic and is feeling more useless than ever still not finding a definitive role in Team Gotham Knights. Meanwhile, Dr. Harleen Quinzel formally known as the infamous Harley Quinn was declared sane a few months back and is now working alongside Batman as his new partner in crime Batwoman. As for Batman, he's been acting quite different this past year ever since he started dating and eventually marrying Dr. Harleen Quinzel. When the Killing Joke incident happened Bruce was of course feeling remorseful and great pain for the Gordon Family as it reminded him of his very own trauma, but he handled it very differently this time around and learned to use that raging pain to fuel him positively. All that is thanks to Harley who taught Bruce to love again and made him a better man in the process. But now a new incident is about to arise as their strength and morals will be greatly tested once again as the respected Bat Family. When the Joker causes chaos and gets caught as always he is then sent over to the Asylum where their worst nightmare will eventually manifest when the Joker gets loose and takes over the Madhouse by releasing all the infamous supervillains of Gotham. The duo will fight through their infamous rogues' gallery, Joker's Gang, and also against the ticking clock as they hope to unravel and stop Joker's horrifying plan for the city.
