Samantha Ramos is an American romance novelist with an inconvenient mission and a deadline. Her two main characters: Brian Garcia and Melanie Martin, partnered secret agents who were created to be lovers, were to be in a book published in about a month or so. But one day Samantha comes home to see them waiting for her with bad news and more bad news. They are stuck in her world and they need her to write them or send them back to Paris and back to where they belong before they disrupt something important like Samantha's story. And it wouldn't be a complete story without the impending drama of a couple of rocky relationships.

In New York City, elite teens are going missing. The police and FBI have run out of leads and out of time, and so there is only one option left: to contract the CDA. It's the government's dirty little secret, an unorthodox organization of highly trained agents who are sent in when everyone else has failed. Four agents are sent to NYC: Mel Carmicheal, a knife-loving force of nature who could seduce a priest if she wanted to; Diego Delarosa, a perceptive and rational agent who can get anyone to trust him; Ian Sharpe, a quiet, insightful hitman who doesn't know exactly why he's there; and Asha Mannan, an organized, analytical agent who never gives up on a case. Changes in the very structure of the CDA during the middle of their assignment, however, have the agents scrambling with a new deadline and the looming threat of a suicide mission. Worst of all, their pasts and their secrets are beginning to catch up with them-- and they're all more connected than they know. Can they save the missing teenagers before their worlds come crashing down? *Told in chapters alternating between the past and the present* *This is the new & improved version of Identity- the old one has since been unpublished. However, this is not the final version and will most likely contain minor grammar mistakes/plot holes/etc.* Copyright © 2017 by Sloane Mackenzie All rights reserved. HOW FAR WOULD YOU GO FOR THE PERSON WHO FEELS LIKE HOME? Samantha Pearson never expected to fall for someone like Nate Dawson-smart, gorgeous, and way out of her league. Too bad he's taken. As the new girl in town and a freshman in law school, Sam is just trying to survive the chaos of legal studies. But then there's Nate, her brilliant, charming, "totally off-limits" study-buddy. He's dating Ashley Reynolds, the queen bee of their law school, and Sam knows better than to catch feelings. But sometimes, the heart doesn't listen. What starts as an innocent friendship soon turns into deep conversations, stolen glances, and moments that felt like "more". As they chase their dreams of becoming lawyers, real life comes crashing in... can they fight for each other when everything, including their own choices, seems to pull them apart?
