"Who are you really, Nazikeen?" Fallon's voice was soft, low and careful as she accused him of being someone he was not.

He smiled. "What." He spoke it like a correction to her words. "You should be asking what I am, not who." Nixon brushed a gentle finger down her cheek, looking at her the whole time.

While in her final year of high school, the last thing Fallon wanted was for her plans change, but they did just that.

For her, everything changed when Nixon Cipriano became her new lab partner. Fallon didn't understand why it had to be him. There was thirty other students in the classroom, but she had been seated next to him.

A part of her, one buried deep down, felt something when she had first spoken to him. It was an odd feeling of attraction, but also the desire to know who he was because Nixon remained set on his idea to evade answers whenever she asked him anything. She could tell he was hiding something, especially after he began to act unusual around her.

Fallon's new plan is to find out what Nixon insists on keeping hidden, but the secret is bigger that she could have imagined.
