There are three steps in becoming the head elder: 1-Battle of the Minds, where you and your twin will be put through several tests that strain your brain to its breaking point, evaluating mental stability. 2-Community Service to the people, assisting in anything needed, showing true concern for the people and their needs. 3-Mortem, meaning death, where you physically fight your twin until one of you dies.
Alexandra Ramsay is stuck between two worlds: her twin brother or her clan. It is law that the oldest set of twins born to a certain family will fight to the death and the winner will become the heald elder and leader of the Fortitudine Clan. But it is not so easy. Alexa's brother, Thanatos, is much stronger and smarter than her. Will she be able to fight and kill her once best friend? Or will he defeat her and wrongfully rule over the small clan with anger and selfishness?
Fortitudine: meaning strength in Latin. Short for Fortitudine Vincimus; meaning 'by endurance we conquer'. Pronounced:
