Darling

I sat for endless hours, losing track of time as I gazed up into the trees with wonder.
I wish I could forget everything and live here, in this moment, with the trees. Dodge all my responsibilities, forgetting my worries and constant insecurities.
I hate it all.
The wind sways the hammock from side to side, pulling it into its sweet rhythm.
"Lets run away and get lost." I look up into his eyes, getting lost inside their blue waters.
"Somewhere far, filled with endless green and open skies to see the stars." His lips tug as he sees my excitement.
"With clear blue waters and fields of flowers, so you can twirl as the sunlight kisses your skin." He proclaims as he skims his strong gentle fingers up and down my arm, causing small bumps to appear.
He understands, thats what I've always loved about him. He wont question me, or crush my imagination.
My face slowly frowns as my thoughts come back to reality, why can't it be like that?
"Promise me that someday this will be true," His eyebrows knit together "Promise me my fantasy?" I'm looking down wiping away a stray tear.
His thumb brushes under my chin as he lifts my head, staring at me with intense eyes.
"I promise," His nose brushes mine, back and forth.
"My Darling." He whispers.
