“Alcohol may be a man’s worse enemy, but the bible says to love your enemy.” -Winston Churchill. Shy McKee is an alcoholic at the simple age of eighteen. She only wanted one thing in life; to get out of the small town of Engul, Virginia. Working two jobs since her freshman year of high school, she earned enough money to fly across the world to England. There she buys a small, single room apartment and gets a job. She thought she would happy. She was wrong. Drowning her sorrows in liquor, she meets a certain bartender. He shows her that there's more to life than sadness and alcohol.
