*** Spin-off series for the well-known 'Controlled' series!***
For Aubrey Harper, moving back to the small town of Greensboro, Georgia seemed like the best decision when her parents passed away from a tragic car accident. She's grown used to the big city life in Atlanta, from the honking of horns at two in the morning to the rude civilians pushing passed her on the sidewalks for walking too slow. Now she's back home, where the most exciting thing to the town was when the cinema released a new movie.
Despite growing used to the city, she's glad to be back home, moving back in the ranch house she grew up in. Reconnecting with old friends who never left and picking up back at a job she left at 18, Aubrey feels that the small town is what she needs to get back to her roots.
Declan Montgomery is struggling with the death of his mother, who owned an antique doll shop in Downtown Greensboro. He grew up admiring her doll collection and decided to take over caring for them after she passed. Deciding to move back to Greensboro to keep his mother's passion alive seemed to be the best decision, and being surrounded by her collection made him feel close to her again. However, the gripping realization his mother is no longer there to comfort him has him spiraling.
It was becoming almost too much to handle for Declan until he lays eyes on Aubrey walking out of the coffee shop only three blocks from his mother's boutique. She resembles his mother's most beloved doll in a very unique way. From the hair color to the nose shape, and even the way she smiles. It's then that he decides he needs her to keep going.
Declan is determined to have Aubrey for himself, to treat her as his mother once treated her dolls. And he will have her, even if it means her lifeless body is the only thing to fill his collection.
