/ I look to the side lines and see our school's cheerleaders standing in a huddled group. I catch the eye of one. She smiles and waves at me. I smile back, then continue to look up and through the stands. When I get to the top row, I see a boy, sitting alone in the corner. His cheeks are rosy from the cold, although he is wrapped up tightly in a wool jacket and scarf. I meet eyes with him. For a moment, everything is frozen. I can't stop looking at him. We are in the eye of a hurricane, and the world has stopped. / Ty is a lonely, friendless boy. Ash is a popular football player. No one would ever expect their worlds to collide, even themselves. Cosma and Ash are best friends. Cosma goes to the boarding school on the opposite side of the woods. Cosma and Ash are each other's escapes from reality.

Dane Einstein is the type of person that doesn't really care about the credit he so rightfully deserves, which is probably why he was able to get roped in to being family friend's Carrie Brightfield's songwriter as she was determined to make singing her career. It wasn't too bad at first. Fast forward two years, and Dane isn't sure he wants to be a songwriter for Carrie anymore. He absolutely loves songwriting, but Carrie's ego is starting to take the joy out of it, especially when she throws away a song he's really proud of, only to sing a song that really shows fame has gone to her head. Zion Steele has always loved music. It's his number one passion, but he never really gets the chance to perform. When he learns Dane is Carrie's songwriter and that Carrie threw away the new song Dane wrote, Zion takes the opportunity to not only perform the song at an open mic night, but also give Dane the credit he deserves. One thing leads to another and sure enough, Dane and Zion soon forms a bond that seems almost impossible to break.
