When a young woman awakes from the dead in the morgue of Herone Falls, a fictional town set in north-west Washington State, the world around her begins to unravel as the incident of her murder uncovers dark secrets about the town’s deeply buried mystical and supernatural past. The young woman has no memory prior to waking up in the morgue, not even the memory of her own name, but all the answers to her many questions, as well as fleeting challenges that make her question her true desires, seem to find her when a mysterious self-proclaimed werewolf steps into her life.

As the homicide detectives of Herone Falls work the difficult case, a string of seemingly connected murders start to pop up. Then the body of the first victim goes missing it only adds to pressure to find the killer as the unavoidable Internal Affairs investigation looms over everyone’s head, and with it the supernatural influence within the police force seeps through the tight knit folds.
