Miss Trivet lives in the guilt of her mistakes. It is her fault her daughter doesn't have a father and she knows if she really wanted to, she could change that. However her pride is too strong.
Miss Trivet does everything in her power to prevent her daughter from being like her father but Miss Trivet made a big mistake and now her daughter is interacting with the second person she hates most.

Kayla Trivet knows her mother doesn't love all of her. In fact, she would say she only ever sees anger, guilt or hatred in her eyes. She's been foreseeing this coming for a long time but has her lessons with her uncle paid off or will her mother's choice drive her to the breaking point?

(It is completed but I'm slowly editing it).

❝ 𝐴 𝑤ℎ𝑖𝑡𝑒 𝑟𝑜𝑠𝑒, 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑠𝑒𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑡 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒. ❞ Anna read out loud, while I was staring at the flower that Lord Tewksbury gave me. ❁ I always was sort of different. It wasn't my looks, my health or my social status. It was my mind. I am sick of men telling us, women, what to do. I am sick of my mother telling me to find myself a rich husband. I am sick of my Father being a member of the house of lords but I still won't be the person following him, even though I am the oldest. And why is that? Because I am a woman and that is the only reason. But I decided to defend myself. I decided to make a difference. My plan was to make women join protests against the sexism going on. To inspire them to defend themselves and I was going to achieve my goal even if it meant that I would have to leave behind everything. I only made one rule for myself to follow: don't fall in love. But when I met the Viscount Tewksbury of Basilweather, I quickly knew that I had to focus so I wouldn't break that rule. #5 in SherlockHolmes (16th January 2023) #6 in enolaholmes (4th February 2023) #3 in runningaway (4th February 2023) #5 in emmawatson (28th May 2023) #2 in Tewksbury (10th July 2023) #1 in womensrights (6th June 2024-29th July 24) #1 in Sherlockholmes (17th August 2023) #2 in runningaway (26th November 2023) (All the characters except my own belong to the owners of Enola Holmes) About 30.000 words have been used in this book

Consulting Daughter (BBC Sherlock)

25 parts Complete

Kyna Jocelyn Graham is unusually talented and intelligent, much to her mother's unending and embarrassing horror. For sixteen years Kyna's mother has been desperately trying to stamp out any traces of the man who is her father. But she is unsuccessful and when Kyna's mother dies from breast cancer, Kyna is forced into custody with her biological father and on that same day, Sherlock Holmes receives a child he never wanted. She despises him and he cannot even tolerate her, but slowly, through thick and thin, they grow to respect each other. Kidnapped and afraid, in love and alone, angry and heartbroken: Kyna Holmes is the only Consulting Daughter in the world. And her special talents are put to the test when 'Uncle Jim' comes to play in his own twisted and maniacal way.
