Death arrives in the sleepy town of Pebble Creek both literally and figuratively.
Figuratively meaning the town was about to experience a string of brutal murders, and literally meaning, well, death arrives. Death, who looks very much like a 17 year old female, just happens to be in the neighborhood on a job when a girl is murdered and her body left on the sidewalk.
The problem?
This girl wasn't supposed to die.
And, even worse, her soul is missing.
Now death must follow the only clue given, a pin from the local high school.
Going undercover as a student will be hard, and will, no doubt, present lots of challenges.
One of the biggest being Will Taylor, who will stop at nothing to learn all the secrets that this tiny backwater town has to offer, and he's setting his sights on the new girl who showed up the exact same day the killings began.
One immortal teenage girl.
One very determined human boy.
And one psychopathic killer.
