"How do you know you don't deserve them?!" I shouted to the door where she stood.

She froze. After a few seconds, she slowly turned to me. "Because I know who I am. I would ruin you for anyone else, including myself. I'd destroy your feelings & break your heart. I'd demolish you & feel no remorse" she looked at me dead in the eyes. I knew she meant every word.

I surprised her, as well as myself, with my response. "Okay."

She looked at me like I grew a second head. "I'm sorry, what?" She asked, clearly confused.

I thought about it for a second, then decided not to. I don't want to second guess anymore. I want her. I want this. For myself.
