Over the Wall: A Collection of Short Stories (NaNoWriMo 2014) by emmernemmer

This year for NaNoWriMo, I am writing a short story anthology. It will feature thirty or so short stories (my hope is to write one per day to fulfill my 1,667 per day word requirement) about varying things. Each morning, I will randomly select a number between one and thirty and I will look at the corresponding list of first lines I will have. I will take that line and write a short story using it and then the next day I will do the process over again (some stories might relate to each other, some might not). Anyway I will edit the story for that day and post it here. It may not be posted exactly on the corresponding day, but in the end there will be thirty short stories. P.S. Although these are somewhat edited they are still rough drafts so please treat them as such.

My Summer of Writing and Stuff by SomewhatSmartGirl

The summer of my 5th grade year, my mum made me and my sisters type a page of something everyday. She didn't care what we typed, as long as we were writing and creating something. At first, I saw it as torture, so I tried so leave as many spaces as possible in my writing to fill up the pages faster. Eventually, I started to enjoy writing the stories, and now that I look back at them (as much as I hate to admit it) it actually wasn't that bad. This book contains everything I wrote during that time, and I didn't change a single word as I transferred the stories from my computer. There aren't as many stories as you would think, because I didn't write for the entire summer, but there's quite a few. Some are short stories while others are longer, but I hope you enjoy all of them. It's quite a mess, really. And I'm not joking when I say that. (I used the Canva app to create the cover. All photos, except from my drawing in the first part, are from Pixabay.)

He always had his way among girls and having blue eyes, a chiseled jaw and a hot body, didn't help either. With new woman on her arms every other day, he was obviously not planning on falling on that cliché word also called love, but would his thoughts of not falling in love still remain the same, after meeting her? Sienna Collins was a girl of 22 with extremely shy personality. After completing her graduation, the only thing in her mind was to get a good job and settle on her own, but what she didn't expected was a job at Steele's Company. This is a story of the innocent and the sinful. I'LL BE RE-WRITING THE BOOK AS SOON AS SCHOOL STRESS REDUCES A TAD BIT. Mia Montana has always had the fantasy of a perfect ever after. She believes she can find that in Dayne Matthews her current boyfriend. He is just that perfect person. It's him or no other. Jason Steele New York's most eligible billionaire bachelor. He is every ladies dream. But the problem is, he isn't looking for a long term commitment. Being a product of a failed marriage he believes love doesn't exist. Jason and Mia's grandfathers are best friends. When Mia's grandpa suffers from a mild heart attack, he realizes that there isn't much time left. But he has a wish, to see his grand daughter walk down the aisle. The problem is; he thinks Dayne isn't that man. He arranges with his best friend to match-make their grand children on the pretext of merging their companies. Jason and Mia refuse to compromise. So they strike a deal with them. "You both will live together for 30 days, if you don't fall in love with each other within those 30 days. You both can go your separate ways and marry whoever you want to marry". Found in between the devil and the blue sea, they both agree. Mia feels she is in love with someone already, so loving Jason will be totally impossible. But life isn't how it seems like always. They are yet to discover love isn't a matter of choice but a matter of the heart. Disclaimer- I know that this book has lots of plot holes, and all that. Trust me when I say I'm definitely working on it. I haven't fully gotten around editing it 'cause how busy life is at the moment. Note that, this book is my first book ever as a writer and as such has stuff that needs to be worked on. If you want to read a really thought out work, you can read my other books. I do hope you all understand.

This girl is always told to never do this never do that, and the consequences...Are questionable. This girl has never known the meaning love or kindness. She has yet to receive any of it. This is a girl who bounced from foster home to foster home. But when someone finally adopts her, it is what she least expects it to be. This is a girl who is in need of help. She is treated like a slave. So, she was forced to created a never list. A list of things that she is never EVER supposed to do. When she breaks a rule, she has to face the consequences. After all, the consequences are questionable. This guy always received what ever he wanted. This guy went through girls like he went through clothes. This is a guy who when made a wish, that wish came true. But when the day he walks into his senior year, that is the day he will always be at battle with his conscience. This will change his life. Then, this is a guy who will always have to think of two instead of one. This will change the the world as they know it. Will they accept? I made this up so no stealing it. Enjoy the book. And the title and cover will change for a bit till I feel like it is the right one.
