Anik Kadam looked down at the small cub at his feet. It cub was only young but his size was misleading. After knowing of the curse that plagued both Dhiren and Kishan, Anik was looking down at the youngest prince of the kingdom he had so willingly served. Kush. Younger then Kishan by about 10 years the child had been scared. As he stood at Anik's feet the cub nearly shook with fear. "It's all right, Kush. I'm sure there will be a way to break this curse. But for now - you will have to remain with me." The cub, Kush, got to his feet and rubbed himself against Anik's outstretched hand. Accepting the affection given. Kadam looked up at the King and Queen. "I do not know of Dhiren and Kishan but I can promise you that I will take the very best care of Kush until the curse can be broken. No matter how long it takes." Anik swore to his rulers. The king bowed his head to the young man, the Queen hid her tears. All three of her sons were gone. No longer men - but animals. It was heartbreaking for her.
