Adeline 'Angel' Rose is a "secluded by choice" girl who would rather be in a library than a crowded house with drunk people and loud music. Despite her introverted personality, she fears being alone and forgotten, and longs to be remembered by at least one person. Her scars are deep, and old wounds are still healing. 

Adeline also has a secret power that allows her to read the emotions of others through eye contact, sometimes even feeling exactly as the other feels. That's not all...her powers seem to be evolving and becoming more and more powerful. Will she be able to keep these abilities hidden?

Her best friend, Zoe, suddenly starts being secretive and distant. What's the reason behind Zoe's drastic change in behavior?
Could it possibly have something to do with the new guy in school who instantly took interest in Adeline?
Or does Zoe know something Adeline doesn't? 
Though she has her fair share of secrets, when her best friend isn't there for her when Adeline needs her the most how will she cope?
