After four years in an Australian boarding school, sixteen-year-old Sawyer McKinley returns to her hometown of Monterey, California expecting to be reunited with her best friend Ashley and her first love Charlie. It's too bad Ashley's found a new group of friends and Charlie—who’s suddenly way hot—wants nothing to do with her. Suddenly coming home feels like big mistake and Sawyer doesn't know what to do. But as the days lying on the beach pass into nights gazing at the stars, Sawyer realizes that if she wants a second chance, she has to fight for it. Maybe, just maybe, she can convince her friends to bury the hatchet that tore them apart four years ago. ‘Like Old Times’ is a coming-of-age story about friendship, forgiveness and learning to love again.
