12 year old Ila gets bullied at school. The bullies say that Ila can't do anything. So to get away from the bullies, prove to the bullies, and to prove to herself Ila convinces her parents to let her go to the best dance school in the country. The requirements are that you must have at least 1 year of dancing experience and that you must live at the dance school when you attend it. Ila has 3 years of experience. She only did it once a week. But Ila is determined to push herself. She goes to the dance school and lives there. She meets new friends and develops a crush. She takes school there but the dance school mostly focuses on dance. Ila pushes herself so hard. She feel like she is going to break. Some stuff topples down on her like her older brother going to war and her mom and dad getting divorced. Ila faces many challenges.
