Just a short poem that I pounded out in a moment of weakness. It's still in draft form, so critique is welcome, when done so in an appropriate manner. It's freeverse poetry, so don't expect it to rhyme. Other than that, enjoy! (Trigger Warning for dark themes and mentions of suicide.)

Abroad
The purpose of this poetry book is one of defiance. Not to others, or anything in particular. It is against the war we wage internally, against ourselves every day. There is no bigger challenge in life than facing your thoughts, your true emotions, your feelings when you lie alone at night by yourself, cornered. We tend to postpone them, shelf them, as we grow accustomed to our daily activities, never giving ourselves a chance to evaluate ourselves. Who are we? what do we lack? what do we need? In this book, I took it upon myself to air out all of my grievances, my intimate thoughts, my happiness, my disappointments, my sadness all out in the open, for all to see. I wanted to face it all. To stare my mortality dead in the eyes, and let the lingering stare sit, I wanted to simmer the feeling of weakness, of every single type of emotion, completely digest it, and let it manifest genuinely, reading it, again and again, perfecting it, again and again, until the feeling of pain subsides. I there is anything that I want you to take from this book, is time. Yes, just a word, time. It goes by, so have not regrets, and never leave something from saying. A Collection of Short Stories and Poems
The title basically says it all. This will be a collection of really short stories and poems I have made recently in a creative writing class as warm-ups, so just sit back and enjoy a few chapters of random things based off of random prompts. This might be a crazy ride for the both of us. Caution: there will probably be many triggering chapters in this, so if you can't handle the mentioning/allusion to suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, cutting, blood, or self-depreciation of any kind, I would not recommend reading any of this. You have been warned, so if you end up complaining about the things in this collection, you will be ignored and removed from the comments. These are my stories, so deal with it. The Wind
A collection of poems, short stories and writings. Well, essentially just poems at the moment. Variety of influences I will always be willing to disclose for specific poems. Some are darker than others (see tags for possible triggers). Please comment any thoughts. Well it seems I have poured more of myself into this book of poems than I've really expressed to any one person irl. But the masochist inside me really wants you all to read it because why not share my head with strangers? But maybe this matters. Maybe this shows something- some progression becuase some of the earliest poems are are about, or reference, self harm and I'm glad to say that's behind me. I can follow a lot of my relationship with existentialism throughout it, as well as simply my attitude towards poetry (quatrains of iambic tetrameter with abab rhyme schemes are still cool but they aren't my go-to.) So yeah, maybe writing poetry in a toilet when I'm trying to calm down from a panic attack, or better yet in the midst of having one, and putting it up on some anonymous platform means something. Because I'm still not what else does.Complete
