Erika Collen is a young mysterious adolescent that is trying to find her faith again due to the lost of her 8 year old brother Connor Collen to cancer. Although the past 2 years have been awfully depressing, everything seems so going up for her family. A group of people in the community has created a fundraise to help pay for medical bills for Connors medication and etc. Their family has earned $750 thousand dollars from the luck lottery they have won. Erika's sister Alice has earned a scholarship to Harvard Universally to study in the medical department. Everything is starting to look up for them besides Erika. High school has been a pain in thee ass for her. With teen drama and failing classes nothing seems to be right. All she can think of is Connor. 

It is summer time. School is out and its a time for things to change especially for Erika. This summer Erika and her family are going to stay with her grandparents for the whole summer in a small town in Utah called West Wood. She hopes for something special that can change her life, but doubts on it due to the fact that she can hardly believe in miracles. But when she meets Jason Beckom, the 7 year old next door to Erika's grandparent's house her life changes.
