"Mommy's gonna send you away for a long long time" , my mother told my younger self , who was confused , did I do something wrong , why was being sent away.

"What about daddy?" , I asked . 
"That's who I'm hiding you from. You may not understand it but Riley , everything I'm doing is for you" , she told me . 

"I wanna stay with you", I begged. 
"I know. But its okay , we're gonna play hide and seek , but the thing is I'm hiding you , and you don't come out until I get you okay" , she said . 

"Mommy loves you. And will see you again" , she said kissing my forehead as she closed to the door , and locked it.

I didn't realize it then , but that was the last time I saw my mom .
